Dienstuhr Heer Militäruhr German Army WW2 Military Pocket Watch. This HELVETIA mechanical pocket watch dates from the time of the Second World War. It was made in Switzerland by the Swiss watchmaking firm of Helvetia for the Germany Army. This watch has the lightly impressed'D 7497 H' contract serial number to the screw case back. The watch is manufactured from nickel silver, and Helvetia have utilised the Calibre 32A movement, which is nicely finished with Geneva Stripes. This is a watch that would have been issued to a German Army officer. The watch has the "sub-seconds" dial typical of the military style of the period. The attractive black face of the watch still retains most of the original luminous coating on the hands & numbers. The watch is approximately 52mm in diameter. It runs smoothly, and keeps good time.

As with any vintage mechanical watch of this age, having it serviced is recommended for optimum performance. This is a fine example of a vintage WW2 German Army D.
