These beautiful brown boots with their original brown laces have never been greased up with the standard waterproofing treatment of the 1940's-50's period. This is the stuff that combined with age and wear turns original brown dyed boots dark. I'll leave it to their new owner to decide what, if any leather treatment to apply.
