The jacket does not have any patches that would tell us the unit from the Army Air Corp that Duke was assigned to during the war.    This is an original, most complete, excellently preserved, WWII US ARMY AIR CORPS A-2 FLIGHT JACKET, size 40, in an incredible preserved condition, worn by LT C. MC CULLOUGH (his name written on the leather name tag right above the SQUADRON patch) [FROM THE 449TH BOMBARDMENT GROUP] on the left chest side of the jacket. The left arm sleeve exhibits the patch of the 15th Air Forces. The waist measures approximately 15 side to side and the length of the pants from top to foot is approximately 42. Has some wear throughout from usage and storage including some staining to the front and back of the pants mainly on the back legs and butt.    Original WWII US Army Air Force Type - A2 Leather Flight Jacket size 38. Please note this has fabric wear on the inside. The cotton in the cuff of the jacket is showering wear and tear also. Condition is excellent save for a few solid field repairs to stress areas done in matching poplin cotton, some minor faded age marks and tiny imperfections/picks here and there, knits are in really good shape as is the interior. A Theater made 22nd Bomb Squadron, 10th Army Air Force Patch, right below the name tags, is a 4 ½ in diameter cotton patch embroidered on twill.
