Japanese Army Officer Sword War Time Civilian Mounts Old Koto Grooved Blade Ww2

   This is a good example of a War Time Era Japanese Sword carried by an Army Officer during World War II. It is mounted with an ancestral grooved KOTO blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 21 inches in length. The blade has survived in nice condition with only minor surface blemishes and continues to boast a lovely wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang shows to have been shortened throughout the years and wears three holes with only the following portion of the signature still present which reads: Izumi no kami Fujiwara??
