   A wonderful named Mess Dress Uniform of Major General William C. Set includes the 1938 style (though it has a different number of buttons on the front) white dress tunic top and general striped wool trousers. The shoulders bear two beautifully aged, gold bullion Officer's epaulettes which are matching. They are of the screw down type. The sleeves are covered in white General's lace/braid of the proper width and type. Above the cuff braids are two General's stars of the proper color and material.    Original WW2 British Army Cavalry RAF Mess Tin set 1940. These type of mess tins was designed for use by British cavalry but were also issued to other units such as the RAF, Royal Artillery and Royal Engineers during the Second World War. These mess tins are the 1st pattern cavalry tins with the two slots for the handle to protrude through whilst the lid is in use. The mess tins are a matching set and in good condition and complete.
