You have found a 100% Genuine WW2 Japanese Army Officer sword! Also known as Type 98 Shin Gunto. Sword is cursive chiselled signed. Nobufusa's real name is Takahashi Nobufusa. He became Mukei Bukazai (Intangible Cultural Asset) of the Miyagi prefecture in November 1967.
Listed in John Slough's book page 128-130. Cutting edge is a little over 26 inch. Entire sword in scabbard is 40 inch.
