   This is an original type 98 uniform tunic for Imperial Japanese Army officer in WW2. The listing does NOT include the infantry breast insignia and collar tabs that are only for the purpose of display as shown in the first picture. There are signs of natural aging for a vintage article of more than 75 years, but its still in excellent condition overall. The inner collar is clean and looks not much used, as well as the sleeve cuffs. There is rising-sun quilting that is typical for an officer tunic on the lining.    This is the aluminum box that I believe was used on the Phillips Pack Saddle. It has been used for quite a while to hold gun cleaning supplies and had some oil residue on the inside. It seems like the gun oil may have helped to preserve the interior. There wasn't a lot of oil residue and I have only wiped it out with some paper towels. The riveted in liner is still present and covers the bottom, front and both ends. The liner looks like it is in good condition.
