   For sale here is a great looking US WW2 Era Wooden Ammo Chest Crate. The crate is for 210 rounds of linked. The box is very heavy and substantial with steel banding and carrying handles. All markings are legible and the Ordnance markings look great. The box appears to have been lacquered at one time. The back side of the box is marked For Training Program Only. The bottom of the box shows some wear, wood loss, and some water damage. The inisde of the box is nice and clean. The box is approximately 10 1/2" tall, 15 1/2" wide, and 13 1/2 front to back.    GENUINE ORIGINAL WWII US ARMY WOODEN FOOT LOCKER with TRAY - 1944 WW2 ENLISTED. This is an Original WWII U. Army ENLISTED mans foot locker. These lockers were issued by the U. Government to soldiers during WWII. This particular footlocker is exceptionally clean, inside and out. It has the correct original tray and is dated 1944 on the inside lid. I used some furniture cleaner on the inside of the box and tray to get a lot of dust off, it must have been sitting with the lid open for a long time. But otherwise it is in "as found" condition.
