This jacket needs all new cuffs and waistband knit webbing, it's a shame that someone cut up the waistband like that, probably done by a punk rocker or for a costume. This is an authentic U. Army Pacific 7th Infantry Division wool field jacket from WWII. It's a green jacket with several pins and patches on it that are left over from the war. The red/black patch is US Army 7th Infantry. The blue patch with stars and red arrow is US Army Pacific (USARPAC). The chevron patch with a T is a Technician 5th Grade.    United States Army Airborne M1942 Paratrooper Jump Jacket. The jacket consists of four front pockets with two button snaps on each. Also, there is a dual-zippered knife pocket located on the upper front center portion of the jacket which was designed to contain a switchblade pocketknife, used to cut the parachute rigging if entangled. 36 L jacket & pants W31 x L33 Pants & IKE, jacket hidden button style with buckle waist adjustment. Shoulder to shoulder 19.75" neck to hem 27" chest 22" shoulder to cuff 27". The coat & pants are in excellent cond. With only a few unnoticeable pin holes only seen with close observation.   

The jacket is a model B15-A flight jacket made during mid-late World War Two for the Pacific or Mediterranean fronts. There is a sketched mark on the side of the left sleeve where a patch may have been, which is a drawing of an 8th Army Air Corps patch. The jacket is also in quite rough condition and has a bit of fraying along the bottom edges and sleeves, a few nicks and stains across the body, and a damaged part of the left side of the zipper blocking its movement.
