Douglas MacArthur [1880 1964] was an American general and field marshal of the Philippine Army who was appointed Chief of Staff of the United States Army. MacArthur played a major part during World War II in the war against Japan and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippine Campaign. General Douglas MacArthur was one of only five men to rise to the rank of General of the Army. The autograph is signed''Douglas MacArthur'' in blue fountain pen above his typed name.
