Army Air Corps cadet visor cap featuring the early-war brass "winged propeller" insignia, worn by aviation cadets in training prior to the full formation of the U. Constructed with an olive drab wool crown, brown leather visor, and chinstrap, the cap shows honest age-related wear including light moth tracking to the crown, surface cracking and dryness to the visor and strap, and a deteriorated leather sweatband with heavy flaking. The interior satin lining is discolored and worn from wartime use, though some original sheen remains.
