Original Wwii Army

Stanley Wade's briefcase and papers spanning from enlistment through to his post-military, civil service career. Briefcase contents come in at over 6 pounds (including folios). Scrap of paper with Vultee XP-54 airplane sketch is dated July 10, 1942, prior to the date that the internet provides for its first flight :. His career spans from enlisting in the Air Reserve, to enlisting in the Air Corps where he served in both WWII and Korea, to his transition to civil service primarily at Vandenberg Air Force (now Space Force) Base. Briefcase is in solid, used condition.   

Awesome pair of Unites States Navy bibs! The stitching on the straps is coming loose and there are some stains on the back. I didnt try to clean. Otherwise these are in amazing condition! Pretty cool WWII lot to a Air Tower operator who worked as bases stateside. Visor cap almost seems like a crusher, but visor doesn't seem to bend, visor is also coming detached from the cap (see photos). Album as some cool photos of him working in the tower and around the air field, and planes etc. Photos are taken state side on the base. There are a few photos that seem to be overseas maybe like 4 or so, but I believe they were sent by a relative. US Ike Jacket - 8th Army Air Forces. Condition: Excellent, with no missing or broken buttons, tears/rips, mothing, or even small holes other than a single pinhead sized hole on the back of the right sleeve. This jacket is the M-1944 Ike jacket, and is dated December 1945 on the inside pocket tag. The patches indicate it would have been worn by a Technical Sergeant of the 8th Air Forces! It is marked a size 36R on the tag and t. He sleeve length is 23", the length from the bottom of the collar to the hem is 25 1/2", and the width across the back at the armpits is 17.
