Vintage U S Army Air Forces Case , Celestial Navigation Type A-6. Books, Flight Charts and Miscellaneous Inside. Would make a great gift for a special occasion or keep for yourself!
Nice WWII US Army Air Forces Type A-6 Case for you here along with other materials of the time. This was part of their war effort contribution. Cannot say if this case was actually used during the war or was a surplus item. The case is made of canvas material.

Leather straps and buckles in place. The latches on the front of the case are in place and operate. No key for the locks. All sorts of Navigator Log Sheets that were never used in the case. Then, Astronomical Navigation Table Books that were put out in 1941 by the United States Government Printing Office.

Volumes A (some water damage to covers of this one) thru P, no N or O volumes came with the set. There is a canvas set with an eraser, compass and wood handled item with sandpaper on it and replacement pads. Then another canvas bag inside with nothing in it. Also, some other paper books dealing with air navigation that go up to 1946, some missing covers or first few pages.

What you see is what you get. Not sure if the case and other materials, or any accessories are all here or not. The WWII Air Navigation Case is 23-1/8" across, by 10.75" tall, by 12.5 wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
