Ww2 U. S. Army Binocular M17, With Coated Optics, 7x50 Very Good Cond
Army Binocular M17, w/ coated optics, 7x50 Very Good cond. All screws are present with slots intact. Finish is intact except for where shown in pictures - primarily the beauty rings. The individual focusers are well lubed and turn smoothly and evenly. Optically, the views are excellent - equal to many modern binoculars. The glass is clear and without scratches beyond the micro.
Slight internal debris on glass surfaces. Images are bright and truly sharp. This unit resolves group -1, element 6 of the U.
1951 resolution chart at 30 yards as do most U. Military 7x50s that I have tested and equals the performance of my 7x50 Zeiss. Color is slightly warm with a very, very light yellow tint. Prisms are evidently of BaK4 as there is no apparent dispersion of light at the corner edges of the field of view. Artillery graticule in left eyepiece. You can send it back for any reason. Did you just change your mind? Have you always wanted to compare what you already have to what I sent you? But, it has to come back as good as it went out, so don't drop it.
