Original WWII US Army Air Corps AAF D-2 Mechanic's Winter Parka and Liner. Air Force parka models D-1 and D-2 were developed in 1943 for mechanics and service personnel who had to work outdoors on the flight line for long periods of time in cold weather.
As several "Size 40" tags, no other labels or tags. Drawstring was replaced with a parachute cord, front of jacket has darkening or age stains, I believe they'll come out, it looks the same as white sheets when they get old, no other damage! Fur hood is in great shape, no missing fur.
Buttons, snaps and front zipper are accounted for and work great. Measures 24" armpit to armpit, 19 1/2" armpit to hem, 24" shoulder seam to edge of cuff and 32" neck seam to hem.
