Created by the commanding General of the 10th Armored Division in World War II to recognize selected soldiers in the Division who had demonstrated proficiency and who had completed a course that challenged them both physically and intellectually.    This fine conditioned example of a WWII German medical officer's tunic is in excellent shape. Made of a herringbone patterned wool gabardine with a bottle green collar, this tunic has an original to the piece ribbon for the EK2 sewn through the buttonhole and the remaining device with swords on the left breast.
