Original Wwii Army

   This is an original, WW2 era M43 US army jacket that has some small flaws that contribute, however, to its great vintage look. Like many original jackets, the internal draw string is long gone. Size tag 40 R, no manufacturing tag. I would size this for the avoidance of doubt as a 42 R. Size and condition are very rare, I had to search long and hard for the large sizes in my collection which I could also use for reenactments on the original Battle of the Bulge battlefields around Bastogne.    This WW2 US Army M1943 M43 OD Green Field Jacket is in very good condition considering it's age and only shows modest signs of honest service, not abuse. Most of the original buttons are intact and there are only two tiny holes I can find anywhere on this jacket (on the left sleeve, please see the photographs for details). There are traces of a dark green paint on the sleeves and near the waste but they are minimal and hardly noticeable unless you are looking for them.
