   This Shoulder Holster was worn by a B-25 Pilot who had it custom made in Morocco in 1942 He flew out of Africa. He was a member of the 321st Bomb Gruppe, 447 Th Bomb Sq. The holster is in pretty good condition. It does have some staining from ware and battle scars. It comes with the 2 45 cal. This is a nice and very rare NOS M-4 gunners flack helmet. This was used by WWII bomber crews and replaces the steel pot style flack helmets. It is designed to fit over a soft flight helmet with the head phones. This has some storage wear and will need a little dusting off. One of the inner ear flaps has a stain from long term storage.    Howard Keith Burney who was a B17 bomber pilot in late WWII with the 97th Bomb Group. The sale was here in Lincoln, but the history I have on the vet shows that he was from Harington NE and served in the USAAF from Feb 8, 1944 - May 18, 1947. According to the pages he marked in the unit history (Pg 210-224) he flew 19 missions before he was injured on Feb. 27, 1945 by flak that shattered the plexiglass windshield of his aircraft. Condition is excellent save for a few solid field repairs to stress areas done in matching poplin cotton, some minor faded age marks and tiny imperfections/picks here and there, knits are in really good shape as is the interior.
