Untouched Dual-Era WWII Artifact that tells a complete story from factory to fleet:The Shell: A rare, early Summer 1942 McCord Fixed-Bale shell (Lot 154B). The Factory Trace: Verified by a yellow inspector's fingerprint inside the crown. Wartime Wear: Features an authentic front stress crack and a snapped bale, both classic traits of brittle early-war Hadfield manganese steel. The Navy Career: Transformed into a Navy Damage Control / Firefighter helmet, designated by the red rim and red paint remnants on the exterior cork texture.

Original Imperial Japanese Army item. Early Type 90 helmet cover. Early-style thin yellow wool star insignia. Original star base sewn without penetrating the lining. Early pattern without the reinforcing drawcord sewn around the outer edge of the hem. This is a scarce early-production example with construction details rarely seen on later versions.
