It was made by the US Naval Gun Factory/Optical Shop Annex in Rochester, NY. EE205123/57138 features a heavy and sturdy black-painted brass body with textured leather covering and leather straps. The piece comes with a bespoke leather carrying case with built-in compass. Binocular presents well and is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age and type of use. There is minor surface scuffing; minor dust particles in lenses; a few fleabite chips to rims on eye pieces. Leather case has wear, scuffing, and patina. Glass covering on compass is missing; leather strap is torn, some stitching is undone. Please review all photos before purchasing. This great piece will make a wonderful addition to any World War II and militaria collection.
