Up for sale is this Vintage Antique WWII US Military Army Ring Hub Stamp Jewelry Tool Detroit W. You can see the condition in the photos. This is a nice vintage hub for your collection. This tool was used by the Weyhing Brothers Company in Detroit. We're listing more dies and hubs in separate listings.

Dimensions: 1-3/4" x 1-1/8" x 1-1/4. A hub is the original, expertly hand-carved, highly detailed, raised relief pattern. A work of mostly undiscovered, valuable, and collectible art & sculpture. Because the hub is the master pattern, they were used to create a die and then placed back on the shelf. A die is the impression made directly from the original hub.

The die would then be used in the manufacturing process of jewelry coining, and medallions and would be "die-struck". If a die cracked, another impression die could be created from the original hub pattern.
