BY DIRECTION OF THE PRESIDENT, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 9419, 4 FEBRUARY 1944, YOU ARE AWARDED THE BRONZE STAR MEDAL FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE SHOWN BELOW; FOR EXEMPLARY CONDUCT IN GROUND COMBAT AGAINST THE ARMED ENEMY DURING THE LUZON CAMPAIGN, IN THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS, WHILE ASSIGNED AS SERGEANT, 108TH INFANTRY. AWARD DOCUMENT ALSO STATES THAT SGT. FRAY WAS AWARDED THE COMBAT INFANTRYMAN'S BADGE ON "8, FEBRUARY 1945". ALSO INCLUDED ARE THE FOLLOWING.
