Original WWII US Army Air Force Flight Engineer Wings 3 Sterling. Very nice original WWII US Army Force badge. Original clutch-back with sterling Ballou clutches. Short posts (5mmt all) as used late in the war. Unmarked but does test as sterling silver. Die-stamped with semi-mirror appearance in reverse. Overall a great set of late war wings. Construction in gilt sterling silver in multi-piece construction die-stamped with having some cavity on reverse and in typical "sloppy" AE Co construction. Marked in center of back of wing STERLING AE CO UTICA NY for. American Emblem Company, Utica, NY (AE/AECo). The reverse of the medical emblem on fron is also marked with AE CO UTICA NY.
