This is the real deal, here. An early war example of the HBT combat jacket with an original cut edge 36th infantry division. Patch and September, 1942 corporal rank chevrons on each sleeve. I checked the patches/threads on the replaced button and. On the cuffs/lower arms and a little on the collar that I did not try to clean so it may still clean out, but honestly this just.
Adds to the character and authenticity of this original WW2 jacket. I checked the jacket over and could not find any problems such as holes, tears or even snags. All the other buttons are present. The bottom hem belts are solid and complete.
The left pocket has been sewn back on, on the side nearest the front buttons/opening, but again this appears to be original with no glow on the threads. There does not appear to be any damage to the pocket. There are small holes on the collar where the tabs were. Underarm to underarm - 24. Underarm to end of sleeve 20.
