WWII US Army HBT Herringbone Twill Combat Utility Jacket/Shirt-38R-OD7. Note that these jacket/shirts were typically cut up to 10 over the marked size as they were designed so that they could be worn over a field jacket. Shoulder (width from arm seam to arm seam at top): 21 3/4. Over arm (top shoulder seam to cuff): 23.5. Under arm (armpit to cuff): approx.
Body length (base of middle collar on back to bottom edge): 28. Button placket length (neck to bottom edge): 26. Armpit to bottom edge:: 15. Original WWII United States Army Uniform Utility Jacket / Shirt. HBT / Herringbone Twill, 2nd Pattern Spec.
6 button placket with gas flap. 1 button at each cuff with 2 button holes. 2 large breast pockets with flap and single button closure.
I recently acquired this jacket/shirt from the estate of the original owner. I have not laundered it. It is very clean as found with no soiling.
No pet, cigarette or musty odors. This shirt appears to have been laundered then stored away for 75 years. Very good original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No spots, discolorations, stains, etc.
No tears, holes, rips, scuffs, fraying. No fading or color irregularity.
