Original Wwii Army

WWII / WW2 Nationalist China KMT Chinese National Revolutionary Army Field Cap HBT. A very rare example of a field cap from the Chinese National Revolutionary Army. This cap looks to be a late WWII or Chinese Civil War era example, judging by the fact that it has been made from HBT fabric likely supplied by the United States as foreign aid ramped up from 1945 onwards. The cap will come with an original replacement cockade. It is not attached, but there is a remaining trace of sewing on the cap where a cockade once was. For convenience, the cap will come in the way it is depicted in the 3rd photo. The cap has also been named on the lining, but the name is somewhat illegible. The cap overall is in remarkably good condition. While it definitely shows some signs of use of field as well as age, there are no major spots of damage nor tarnish, with both front buttons being tightly secured and zero damage within the lining. Of note is that there is one small spot of repair on the top of the cap, a very nice touch that indicates its use at some point. The cap itself was also found in China, likely captured from Nationalist forces, which would explain why the original badge was removed. Overall a beautiful example of a cap seldom ever seen on the market with some very interesting history behind it, having been made from American supplied HBT fabric. An exceedingly rare cap that does not surface often at all which will certainly display incredibly in any WWII collection.
