I can find small rips from the year, and little dirty. (I have put photos where you can see exactly what i mean). I can find marking and numbers on the 2 boots : B W FOOTWEAR CO INC DA-30-280 QM 11873 LARGE, white color, canvas and leather. Prepared by the Engineer Section of the 5th Army, this map was carried by combat infantry soldiers, tank crews, etc as they fought extensively in the Italian campaign having fought in some of the most well known WWII combat operations including Operations Husky, Operations Avalanche, and Operations Shingle. I absolutely love the broken in and worn look of these boots! They don't have that been there/done that look and they don't have that i just came out of the box! A good honest pair of boots.
