This collectible item is a piece of militaria from the United States during World War II, specifically related to the army airborne glider wings. The badge represents a part of military history and is a piece of genuine memorabilia from the era.   

   This listing is for an original WWII Japanese Army Shin-Gunto koshirae (mountings) with a short wooden "Takemitsu" blade fitted inside for safe display. No metal blade is included. Included to keep the koshirae properly fitted and safe for display. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (saya) type (shorter-length set). Leather cover snap buttons: vermilion-painted; one side has lost its coating and shows bare/rusted metal tone. The handle-side fixed snap/retention hardware is missing on this type (as shown). Found together in box at an estate so it's likely that it was all related to solider in frame. You get all that is pictured! Please see pictures as they are part of the description. WW2 US Army 2nd Engineers (Combat) this is a nice one from my collection. Look at all the pictures, Clean no mothing issues I see, Pants are size W31 x 35L. Early 1940 dated jacket, pants are late WW2. Nice insiginia, screwback distictive insigina. Jacket has early rear belt hooks. Looks to be issued a few times. Read the history of the battalion. He has four battle stars. No history on the previous owner. Fifty years ago collectors didnt ask? There were a few Belgian orders as well. One for Elsenborn Ridge, and the Ardennes.
