Militaria WW2 US Army 1942 Melton Wool Double Breasted OD Trenchcoat. This coat is in overall good condition with minimal wear/tear. There are some small rips/holes as shown in photos. You can see the marks/sewing from wear arm patches use to be. The inside shirt material liner has small wear holes/tears around the neck area and the hanging loop is torn.
No wonder this jacket weighs a ton! Poor guys that had to run around wearing this thing. This is the 1942 version which was made with the OD Plastic w/steel shank buttons. It is missing one button and another is resting in the pocket. (I can't sew or I'd put it on).
If you can't find another button to replace the missing one, you could move one from under the collar to the breast.
