Wwii Red Army Original Nr-40 Scout Knife. Stamped Zlatoust 1945. Rare
WWII period Red Army NR-40 Scout knife. NR-40 is a famous Red Army recon's knife. Main difference between war period and postwar period knives has stamps on a blade - war period knives ALWAYS has a stamp. This knife has three stamps on the blade: one is a date 1945, second is a factory stamp - that means Instrumental metall factory on Zlatoust. Third stamp is russian letter - and I have no idea what does it means.
This is the late type of the scout knife and it has a stamped tin scabbard (early types have wooden ones). Very good and extremly rare sample.
