Original WW2 Plastic Economy Cap Badge. These plastic cap badges were introduced as a short-term wartime economy measure and, notably, it is said that they were often unpopular with soldiers and discarded in favour of the earlier metal versions. The badge is bakelite plastic in composition, with brass lugs to the rear.

2.75" wide x 1.5" high (6.5cm x 4cm). Remains a very nice original example. Please see photos for further detail.
