   Pre-WWII US Army 31st Infantry Regiment DI DUI Crest Made in the Philippines, Signed Crispulo Zamora. This distinctive unit insignia (DUI), also called a unit crest, is an original Pre-WWII US Army 31st Infantry DUI. The 31st Infantry Regiment was a Regiment that helped cover American and Philippine forces as they retreated to the Bataan Peninsula.    The uniform is wrinkled and dirty. I was afraid that if I washed or dry cleaned the uniform that it was cause further damage considering the small moth holes in the wool. The combat patch from the 4th Armored Division but the insignia on the cover is from the 15th Cavalry Regiment. Both served in WW2 and in similar areas and engagements. I think the soldier may have been transferred from one unit to the other.    Original WW2 Plastic Economy Cap Badge. These plastic cap badges were introduced as a short-term wartime economy measure and, notably, it is said that they were often unpopular with soldiers and discarded in favour of the earlier metal versions.
