   Original WW2 Plastic Economy Cap Badge. These plastic cap badges were introduced as a short-term wartime economy measure and, notably, it is said that they were often unpopular with soldiers and discarded in favour of the earlier metal versions.    A very scarce original late-war example of the 6x30 Dienstglas , produced from speckled red/brown coloured Bakelite. This is a completely untouched set, and comes complete as it was issued with the correct model of leather neck strap & rubber ocular cover. These fittings were unique to Bakelite 6x30 and are very seldom seen on surviving examples today!
