Rare JQMD 1944 Original WWII US Army Escape and Evasion False Bottom Oversized. Very rare and hard to find JQMD 1944 oversized canteen cover.

This was made for escape and evasion purposes, the cover is taller than a normal canteen cover, these originally had a wool pad in the bottom below the canteen that could be removed, underneath the pad small items could be stored and hidden from enemies when captured. The last picture shows the canteen next to a normal sized canteen, the normal sized canteen is not included in the sale.

The cover is missing the wool pad unfortunately but it does include an original cup and canteen.
