Original Wwii German Ally Bulgarian Royal Army Backpack Rucksack, Stamp 1942
The straps are made also after German model - Y-straps, attached to soldier's body. The main body is covered of 4 flaps with leather straps. On bottom of the haversack there are two more straps with buckles for holding a shelter half (unfortunately one of them is missing here). On bottom of the haversack there are two stamps - one with the number it was listed to Bulgarian army " 198537 " and another one with year of manufacturing - 1942. On the bigger flap is clearly seen the ink stamp of Royal Army with the Ministry of War and Head Quartermaster abbreviations. Very well preserved leather parts and canvas, despite the years that have passed. The backpack was actually used only during the war.
After that stayed in a military store house for over half a century, before it went in a private collection. Rare & interesting item in authentic condition!
