Rare Wwii 1944 Us Army Amfoge Greece 1946 Matched Uniform 82nd Airborne

RARE WWII 1944 US Army AMFOGE Greece 1946 Matched Uniform 82nd Airborne. Army matched uniform grouping, including the soldier's WWII-era Ike jacket and matching khaki shirt. The Ike jacket is dated December 23, 1944. The uniform itself was issued during WWII, with the AMFOGE Greek Elections patches added during the soldier's 1946 post-war service. Both garments have matching laundry markings and appear to have belonged to the same serviceman.
Both pieces retain original AMFOGE Greek Elections patches. AMFOGE was connected with the Allied Mission for Observing the Greek Elections, which took place in March 1946. The shirt also features an 82nd Airborne shoulder sleeve insignia, Technician Third Grade/T/3 rank patches, and specialist-style insignia above the left pocket. Army Ike jacket, dated Dec. Two AMFOGE Greek Elections patches, one on each garment. 82nd Airborne SSI on shirt. Technician Third Grade/T/3 rank patches on shirt. Original period insignia as shown. Original vintage military grouping with age, wear, storage marks, staining, and moth damage. The wool Ike jacket has multiple moth holes/pinholes, especially on the sleeves, back, and lower areas. The shirt displays better overall but has wrinkles, light staining, and general age wear.
Please view all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. Not cleaned, repaired, or altered.
A desirable WWII-issued, post-war occupation-era uniform grouping with scarce AMFOGE Greek Elections insignia and 82nd Airborne connection. Great addition for a WWII U. Army, airborne, occupation, Greek Elections, or AMFOGE militaria collection.
