Original Wwii German Army 1937 Entrenching Tool Leather Cover Open Front & Rear

One that may be a name/initials appears to be etched in the leather by hand. The remaining markings appear to be stamped. Most prominent is the half curved markings "HERMAN KAUFMAN" and below it BERLIN N. I found this item myself about 10 years ago in a long sealed-up surplus store warehouse within a large tri-wall cardboard container having many very old field gear odds-&-ends that were primarily US.
