Wwii Imperial Japanese Army Riding Boots / Nco Cavalry Leather Boots Japan
Thank you for viewing this listing. This is an original pair of WWII-era Imperial Japanese Army riding boots, likely used by a non-commissioned officer (NCO). These boots were found in an old family estate in Japan. While they may resemble officer's boots, the presence of decorative sole studs suggests they were custom-fitted by a military shoemaker for a proud NCO, a common practice at the time. Note: As visible in the photos, the ankle areas are somewhat flattened, so they may not be suitable for wearing. In pre-war Japan, riding boots were a key part of cavalry and ceremonial uniforms. Even lower-ranking soldiers took pride in their gear-often going out of their way to customize boots to resemble those of officers. A piece like this carries not just material history, but personal pride and ambition-traces of the man who once wore them. Own a piece of history. International Buyers - Please Note.
