Thank you for viewing this listing. This is an original pair of WWII-era Imperial Japanese Army riding boots, likely used by a non-commissioned officer (NCO). These boots were found in an old family estate in Japan. While they may resemble officer's boots, the presence of decorative sole studs suggests they were custom-fitted by a military shoemaker for a proud NCO, a common practice at the time. Note: As visible in the photos, the ankle areas are somewhat flattened, so they may not be suitable for wearing. In pre-war Japan, riding boots were a key part of cavalry and ceremonial uniforms. Original WWII Swiss Army Mountain Hobnail Boots shoes from 1954. Size: 27(which means 27 cm size of the feet), this equals size US 9,5 or EUR 42,5. The boots are in very good original condition - leather also smooth and well maintained - beautiful pieces (see pictures). Made in usuall swiss perfection. Made and marked on the leather and on the nails by the swiss saddler. MINERVA BV R1 54 (1954). These boots were made by the army in 3 different types of widths (5 = Standard / 6 = width / 7 = extra width) - this on is extra width.
