Order of the Red Star Awarded to: Meilikh, Isidor Iosifovich For exemplary performance of duty and personal courage displayed in ensuring the combat effectiveness of his unit. During the preparatory phase of the operation to break through the German defenses west of Frankfurt an der Oder, Comrade Meilikh organized a thorough inspection and repair of vehicles and supplied the brigade with the necessary fuel and lubricants for the entire operation. In the course of offensive actions, under continuous artillery and mortar fire, Comrade Meilikh successfully organized the repair of damaged vehicles at the combat sites.
Between 25 April and 1 May 1945, during heavy street fighting in Frankfurt an der Oder, Comrade Meilikh, together with the personnel of the brigade's repair platoon, under rifle and machine-gun fire, carried out the restoration of three Studebaker trucks damaged in combat. By directly organizing the evacuation and repair of damaged vehicles under enemy fire, Comrade Meilikh ensured the uninterrupted fulfillment of the brigade's combat mission. For his courage, initiative, and devotion to duty, Comrade Meilikh Isidor Iosifovich is deserving of the state award - the Order of the Red Star.
