Army officer uniform grouping consisting of a dark olive wool officer service coat and khaki long-sleeve shirt. Both pieces retain original Army Service Forces (ASF) shoulder sleeve insignia. The officer coat retains its matching cloth belt, U. Army eagle buttons and period lining. The original Better Class Tailoring label inside the coat is dated 12/43 (December 1943). Original WWII Japanese Army officer metal chain sword hanger for a Shin Gunto sword belt. This is the longer style metal chain hanger used to suspend an officer's sword from the belt. The woven metal chain construction remains complete and solid, with both end fittings present. Most of the original plated finish is still retained.
