  Vintage 1942 Simmons Mfg Co U. S Army Mountain Rucksack with frame also included is a Bearse Mfg Co Ammo Belt. Both items came from the estate of a ww2 veteran and were the items carried during the war. The pack is in decent shape with a few minor tears and frayed edges but overall in excellent shape. One of the shoulder straps has been reattached with a brass buckle of some sort and may be a field repair or done later it seems period correct. A NON MATCHED GOOD CONDITION PAIR OF 1914 PATTERN LEATHER 303 AMMO POUCHES THAT WERE IN WIDESPREAD USE THROUGHOUT WW1. THESE HOWEVER ARE POST WW1 INDIAN ARMY MADE AND ARE EXACTLY THE SAME PATTERN.    For sale here is a great looking US WW2 Era Wooden Ammo Chest Crate. The crate is for 210 rounds of linked. The box is very heavy and substantial with steel banding and carrying handles. All markings are legible and the Ordnance markings look great. The box appears to have been lacquered at one time. The back side of the box is marked For Training Program Only. The bottom of the box shows some wear, wood loss, and some water damage. The inisde of the box is nice and clean. The box is approximately 10 1/2" tall, 15 1/2" wide, and 13 1/2 front to back.
