Wwii Us Army Hbt Herringbone Twill Combat Jacket Size 38

This is a WWII HBT jacket. The jacket is in decent vintage condition. PLEASE NOTE that the gas flap has been removed. There are a few stains and a coupe of small repairs on the inside collar. Other than that, looks pretty good. The flaws are shown in the photos. The jacket HAS NO SIZE STAMP, at least that I can see.
Estimating a size 38, possibly a 40. Following is the measured size of this garment. Chest is measured from armpit seam to armpit seam. Shoulders are measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Length is measured from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the garment (including waistbands).
