Original Wwii December 1944 Army Navy Summer Flying Pilot Helmet Stock Blueprint
This incredible WWII stock blueprint shows the infamous Army Navy summer flying helmet. This original stock blueprint was used for the stock and inventory distribution of the summer flying helmet for WWII pilots and crew. This stock blueprint comes from the Engineering Department of the Spartan Aircraft Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Spartan Aircraft Company expanded aircraft manufacturing and, aside from complete aircraft, produced thousands of subassemblies for use in aircraft such aircraft as the B-24 Liberator, B-29 Superfortress, and the P-38 Lightning. Branches of the Spartan school were established at Miami, Muskogee, and Ponca City, and thousands of pilots and mechanics were trained there. Included in their ranks were Royal Air Force pilots who participated in the Battle of Britain and several pilots of the famous Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. Titled: "ARMY-NAVY AERONAUTICAL STANDARD - HELMET - SUMMER FLYING". This would make an incredible edition to any WWII or aviation collection.
