Army Overcoat Hooded Parka & Brown Pile Liner Size 40 OD. Excellent pile liner WWII Brown type. The buckle for the belt has a raised bar and is made of an iron alloy.
If you look at the war production of helmet parts, these were produced from July 1943 to May 1944. The fabric is in very good condition with no holes. OD color is very good with no yellowed sun marks.
The front lower snaps could be used to gather hem around the legs. The snaps on the hood could be used to reduce it is size. This pattern was developed in 1943. The metal hardware and the type would make it I believe a 1943 to 1944 overcoat.
Hard to get in this condition and "larger"size. For the age I would say it is in very good condition. Please look at all my for WWII, WWI, Korea and Vietnam items etc. Feel free to ask any questions.
