Here is Fairchild's WWII era A-10 Sextant serial number AF42-15658, in it's original wooden fitted box, with a flashlight like power source, and paper disks. Everything you see in the photos is included. I do not know how to work it. The name plates are really eroded but you can make out the serial number, model number, a bit of the maker's name, the words Army Airforce and US.    1944 Dated Wooden Boxed US Army Air Force Complete Fairchild A-10A Sextant. As used by USAAF bomber navigators during WW2. This is a 77 year old United States Army Air Force Fairchild Model A-10A Sextant in an original matching serial numbered box for the instrument, just as we bought it from a colleague in the second hand militaria business some time ago.
