Vintage US Army WWII M1943 Field Jacket 36R Usmc Named Worn Stencil D. Very well worn and combat work m1943 field jacket. This was used by DL Coats and he stenciled his name on back along with USMC.
Don't see many with USMC markings. M1943 field jacket instruction tag still attached inside collar along with size tag marked 36R. A lot of use and wear and patina on this one, along with some staining and one small hole on sleeve. Some buttons are cracked and have wear as well. Hbt herringbone cotton liner lower pockets, and khaki od tone interior button plaqet. The jacket looks to be tailored or taken in on the back sides as well for smaller tailored fit. Interior drawstring also looks to be pulled out at one time and never replaced.

Tag is there inside pocket but is not legible to read maker and date. Believe this is a 307E model?

Since it also included the addition of an illustration depicting the proper knotting technique on the label. Waist area that was taken in is roughly 17 inches across.
