Authentic piece of rare vintage militaria. Has original master sergeant and 1st Cavalry patches, all original buttons, as well as the original hood. Stains all throughout, Mostly minor but some more noticeable than others. Hood has a vertical line stain from goggles? Overall great condition, especially considering age. Similar style as seen on Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver.   

First issued during the Winter of 1943-44 to select troops fighting in Italy, this outfit was finally issued in the ETO starting in September, 1943, and to replacements being equipped in the United States. The uniform became common place by December and prevalent by early Spring 1945. This jacket and trouser is the clothing given to all soldiers except paratroopers. Labeled a mens size 36S. Modern equivalent to a men's US size Small Short. Spray painted rank patch on sleeves in place of actual fabric patches. Hand written names on the lining. Missing original label but size tag is shown. Please see provided measurements in photos. CONDITION: Discoloration and fading throughout from authentic Wear and Tear.
