Original Wwii Army

This is an original M43 pile liner, tagged size 36R. I have documented all damage / stains in the photos. Inner pile lining is pristine, as well as the green twill lined pockets. Wool sleeve lining also looks in great shape. Knit cuffs have some holes but are sturdy and in mostly great shape. Large tear on right sleeve, one smaller tear on left sleeve. One of the button loops is frayed, see photo. Two stains on bottom front, and one on the back. All in all a very serviceable but worn-in pile liner.   

Dated September 1944 in lower pocket, these were also used in the Korean war.. red handkerchief was found in the pocket labeled made in Korea. This jacket is still in excellent condition.

   The US Army's model M-43 Field Jacket was a combat uniform manufactured in windproof cotton sateen cloth introduced in 1943 to replace a variety of other specialist uniforms and some inadequate garments, like the M1941 Field Jacket. It was used through the remainder of World War II and into the Korean War with modifications before being replaced by the OG-107 uniform beginning in 1952. The uniform was tested in Italy in 1943 by the 45th Infantry Division and the 3rd Infantry Division but some GIs (including Bill Mauldin) claim that non-combatant officers and enlisted personnel ...

Got 4 ration books, might able to aids the research for new owner. There is no size label, but it fits closest to a size medium. Armpit to cuff Under Sleeve Length: 20. Neck to button 27 inches.
