Offered here tonight is a World War II U. Army Nurse Corps Leather Purse with Army issued leather gloves. Purse and gloves are part of an extensive collection of items from the estate of Ardis Stella (Nelson) McAfee (June 28 1916 - June 22 2016) She joined the Army Nurse Corps during WW2 in 1943, previously was a nurse in St. Ardis married Captain George D.
McAfee MD Son of Brigadier General Larry B. McAfee on June 15 1946. The purse as well as the gloves are part of her estate from Eau Claire Wisconsin. Condition of purse and gloves is very good considering what they have been through. The leather gloves as well as stamps from the Philippines Unused Stamps - say "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES" were inside the purse.
