This is an extremely fine World War II Women's Auxiliary Corps or WAC uniform jacket. It is constructed of officer quality chocolate brown Gabardine wool and features two faux scalloped flapped pockets on the front. Pinned to each lapel is a clutch back WAC officer's Athena head insignia and on the tips of the collar are the officer's'U.
Pinned to the end of each epaulet is a'A. Co - Utica, NY' marked gold Second Lieutenant's rank insignia. The four large light brown buttons down the front as well as the two smaller buttons at the pocket flaps all bear the WAC Athena head insignia. Included with the jacket when found is a dark green wool dress tie which bears the laundry mark'M9919'.
This remains a fine-looking example of the World War II WAC officer's uniform that is in excellent, undamaged condition.
