WWII US Army Tanker Jacket 1945 296th Quartermaster Salvage Repair Co WW2. This is an ORIGINAL WWII era US Army Tankers jacket.
Wool lined This was owned by Francis H. Smith of Florence CO, 37352998. He served in the 296th Quartermaster Salvage Repair Company, and he was in WWII in Europe from late 1944 through 1945.
You can see his name in the Unit Roster which is also original from WWII and is included. It was stored away for decades along with his other military clothing and accessories which are in some of my other listings. Size appears to be Medium. APPROX measurements are: Shoulder to Shoulder: 19. There are some small moth holes in the collar and sleeve ends material.
Inside there are a few small holes in the thinner material where your armpits would be at the start of the sleeve liner. The back has a very light stain in the center starting at the top- I made no attempt to clean it. The zipper says "Snag Pruf" on it. Other than that the jacket is in pretty nice shape. I didnt see any other real wear to it.
